I'm about to kill my roommate. I'm fairly certain that it is impossible for me to get this angry at any one person and not feel like they need to be out of my life forever. I have a temper, but I'm generally a good-natured person. It takes a lot for me to get super pissed at someone, and even then I generally give it up after a day or so of wishing a house would fall on whichever Wicked Witch had crossed my path. However, I think it's my roommate's express purpose and intent in life to be a fucking skank to me anytime she can. Take for instance last Thursday, the first night I'd been home before 10 or 11 in half a week. Watching football and Will & Grace/Scrubs, and she walks in. She's on the phone, so she doesn't acknowledge me. She lets the door slam, rattling the entire apartment. She finally says, "Does your TV in your room work, dude?" Roommate: [huge, drawn out sigh] Okay, first of all? Fuck you. Don't walk in the house, not even acknowledge me and then expect me to give up the TV. Secondly, "her"? What am I, the fucking dog? Treat me with respect; I'm an adult. You can use my name. Third, in the seven months we've lived together it has been established that whoever is watching TV first has control of the remote. But fourth? If you would have asked, I probably would have let you watch whatever it was you wanted to watch. So then Sunday morning at 0330 when I got home, she decides to tell me that our garage fee has been increased because we didn't get the check to them on time. Wonder what you want me to do about it at 0330? Blah. I'm super not good at living with people.
Sara: Nope. (Which is the truth. It works to play movies, but I don't have any coax running to it.)
Sara: [silence]
Roommate: (to the person on the phone) No, I was talking to her. Guess I'm going to watch TV at my parents'.
