*Son, can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes, but it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete when I wore a younger man's clothes.* -Billy Joel

I think I would like to add Billy Joel to my list of must meet celebs. (I'll add him and take that stupid blonde Melissa Stark off of Ben's.)

Please read Heather's entry for today. I have never laughed that hard in my life. Snippy McAsspants.

I'm making CDs for my delegation to listen to when we're in Denver. I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to CDs. Not too many boy singers in a row, not too much of any particular genre in a row. And with these CDs, each person has a song on each CD. (Kind of.) I'm glad they're almost done.

Oh. Today I watched this sick, sick show on Discovery (Claire, you probably saw it,) about spiders. With fangs. It was the worst thing I have ever put myself through. They kept showing what happens to people when these SICKSICKSICK Brown Recluse SICK! spiders bite them. (I reallyreally hate spiders.) Anyway.. they get these GIGANTIC sores all over their body. It's disgusting. So now I'm all freaked out, even though said spiders don't live in CO. (Turns out later I saw a thing on black widows that said they're all over the US. And the case thingy they showed was of a little girl in Denver who had to go to Children's Hospital 'cuz she got bit three times when she was in bed.) I will be tearing my bed apart before I go to sleep tonight. I hate spiders.

Mesa won two regional OTMs this month. (OTM = Of The Month = monthly recognitions for outstanding work in the res halls. Student, Program, Exec Board member, etc.)
The first OTM regionally recognized is Spotlight of the Month on Monument Hall Council. (Where Val lives.) Written by my JulieBear. I love them all.
Glenn wrote me up for NCC of the month. (NCC = National Communications Coordinator = respect my authori-tay.)
I'm really happy that Mesa is getting some recognition in our region. Our pals at UNC wrote and said, "Congrats on two regional recognitions and national bids, Mesa!" It was nice to hear that.

I know, Ben.. never work for human approval.

I'm leaving Thursday for IACURH, and still have a ton of stuff to do. I'm going to take my digi cam and a bunch of rolls of film. Because pictures after 14 hours of meetings are always really pretty.

Oh! I talked to Man tonight. She's gonna be back soon, and she says you all will be sorry.

Julie and her friends do this thing called Attitude Checks, and I'm all about 'em now. When one of them is having a bad day or is sad or angry or something, the other two call up and say, "My favorite thing about so-and-so is..." And it's amazing how much it helps.
I just thought of that 'cuz I was ending this entry and was saying: I love Ang because she has a truly open mind, and a huge heart.

PS: Today is my dad's birthday. I think maybe that would be important if I'd talked to him in the last year or so.
